A trio of old copper engravings from Wagenaar's history of Amsterdam show that things didn't end well for the Anabaptists. The prints show various sentences for Anabaptists: no. 18: Anabaptists hanged by the legs; no. 19: heavier punishment for 11 others; no. 20: Strange trial regarding the Anabaptist Jan van Campen in front of the town hall in 1535.
